 | Alice Barber, 1899-1983 I only meet Alice when I was very young; it was on one of the visits to Barrow, Suffolk with my Nan Edith and granddad George Barber.
I don’t remember much about her, but my mom told me she was a proper lady, very smart with long flame red hair and spoke in a very soft voice.
Alice was so mom tells me a very attractive young woman and most of the young men in the village would make a beeline for her at the local village dance.
Alice Talbot (nee Barber) born 1899, married Victor Talbot 1927, Victor died in 1983.

 | Ruby Florence Pike, In latter years my mom and dad told me about his sister Ruby, and how she suffered a long and painful death from Tuberculosis, at this time 1915 there was very little treatment for the disease, and although she was being treated at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
On the 30 June 1915 she lost her fight for life.
William and Florence were totally distraught at the loss of their one and only daughter, and some say Florence never really got over the loss.
